Jonathan MOSEY Private 23169, Durham Light Infantry & Private 37892, 2 nd Battalion, Princess Charlotte of Wales' Royal Berkshire Regiment. Died 16 th August 1917. Jonathan Mosey was born in 1898 at New Kyo near Anfield Plain in County Durham. His father was a miner trolleyway man, and it is believed that he later came to work for Harperley Collieries. Jonathan was working with him and lied about his age to enlist in the Durham Light Infantry at the age of 16. He later transferred to the 2 nd Battalion, Princess Charlotte of Wales' Royal Berkshire Regiment. Jonathan arrived in France on the 11 th September 1915. He was reported missing on the 16 th August 1917, and is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
